Crescent Gardens Arts Trail and Market
| Sat 11th September 10-4pm | |
|
On Saturday 11 September, Scarborough’s Crescent Gardens will be transformed into a one-day arts trail. Gabrielle is installing a piece of wet clay art work in-situ in the gardens. The work will be built up of thin layers of different colours and shades of wet clays, referring to clays geographical origins or strata. The clays will start and spread from the ground in soil and up the bark of a tree. As the clays dry out over the day, they will crack and peel away, eventually becoming reabsorbed into the ground by the weather. The public will be invited to explore the paths, wander under Italianate arches and discover artworks dotted amongst the trees. In conjunction, an Artist's Market stall event will held to the rear of Woodend Creative Artspace on the day.
